BRONZE I with Maureen & Michael
Before everybody gets in, ask them why streamlined pushoffs & underwater dolphin kick are so important in swimming?
Drills to review:
Fist free drill (breathe every 3 strokes, fingers over thumbs);
1/2 ra backstroke, 1/2 la backstroke drill
Dolphin kick- on back & side
KICKING:
Breaststroke kicking with boards- review on deck if necessary; try to go some kicking races before the end of workout, include the breaststroke kick in those.
If possible-
Break into two groups and work on turns (flip turns from mid-pool) and starts (from the side of the pool, or if possible from the blocks).
Everybody do an excellent job with their HW tonight and practice the breaststroke kick in front of the big mirror at home. Have a great day!
